While possessing a reputation for their off-stage antics, Oasis was the first British group to break into the American post-grunge era with the album Definitely Maybe (1994) under the Epic label. Oasis's second album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995), peaked at Billboard's Top 400 at No. 4 with hits like “Champagne Supernova” and “Wonderwall.” The band recently released Be Here Now (1997) and has enjoyed increasing popularity in Great Britain and abroad, despite some well publicized feuds between the two brothers and public admissions of drug abuse. Band members include: brothers Liam Gallagher (lead vocalist) and Noel Gallagher (lead guitarist); Paul Arthurs (guitarist); Paul McGuigan (bassist); and Alan White (drummer).
