Rob Lowe
actor
Born: 3/17/1964
Birthplace: Charlottesville, Virginia
Film actor who was part of the Brat Pack in the early eighties. Appearing in films such as Class (1983) and St. Elmo's Fire (1985) with other “Brat Packers” such as Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore and Judd Nelson, Lowe was one of the teenage heartthrobs of the 1980s. After a scandal that involved a video camera and a female minor in 1988, Lowe has made a slow comeback. Some films include Wayne's World (1992), Contact (1997), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), The Specials (2000). He turned to the small screen in 1999 to appear alongside Martin Sheen in the well-reviewed TV series about the White House The West Wing, in the ongoing role of Sam Seaborn.
