Anthony, Kenny (Kenneth Davis Anthony), 1951–, St. Lucian political leader and lawyer. He taught before becoming an adviser to the St. Lucian ministry of education and culture (1979–80) and St. Lucian minister of education (1980–81), and then taught law at the Univ. of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago (1984–93) and headed (1993–94) the Caribbean Justice Improvement project there. From 1995 to 1996 he served as general counsel for the Caribbean Community and Common Market. A member of the Labor party, he became its leader in 1996 and served as prime minister of St. Lucia (1997–2006, 2011–16). He resigned as party leader following election losses in 2016.
