Hull, Brett Andrew, 1956–, Canadian-American hockey player, son of Bobby Hull. Brett, an outstanding scoring right wing and a dual Canadian-U.S. citizen, played for the Univ. of Minnesota–Duluth (2004–6) then joined the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames (1986) during the Stanley Cup playoffs. Assigned to the Flames' American Hockey League affiliate, the Moncton Golden Flames, he returned to Calgary in Nov., 1986, then was traded in 1988 to the Saint Louis Blues, where he stayed for 10 years. His career high 86 goals and 131 points in 1990–91 season earned him the Hart trophy as league MVP. Hull the played with the Dallas Stars (1998–2001), scoring the winning goal in the 1999 Stanley Cup final; Detroit Red Wings (2001–4), winning another Stanley Cup (2002); and Phoenix Coyotes (2004–5). He also played for the U.S. team that won the 1996 World Cup. Hull was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009; he and his father are the only father and son who both scored 1,000 points. Hull has been executive vice president of the St. Louis Blues since 2013.
