Hialeah

Hialeah hīəlēˈə [key], city (2020 pop. 223,109), Dade co., SE Fla., NW of Miami; inc. 1925. Its industries include printing, the making of metal and plastic goods, and Spanish-speaking television. Nearby Miami International Airport is a major employer. The city's population has grown substantially since the 1970s, and the city is now predominantly Cuban and Cuban-American. Hialeah Park, a racetrack and casino, is in the city.
