Nampa

Nampa nămˈpə [key], city (1990 pop. 28,365), Canyon co., SW Idaho, in the fertile Treasure Valley; inc. 1890. It is the commercial, processing, and shipping center for an irrigated agricultural, orchard, and dairy region. It has food and seed processing plants and is an important computer electronics manufacturing center. Consumer goods, furniture, and metal and wood products are also manufactured. Northwest Nazarene Univ. is there. A U.S. wildlife refuge is nearby.
