Viersen

Viersen fērˈzən [key], city (1994 pop. 77,224), North Rhine–Westphalia, W Germany. It is a textile-manufacturing center; other products include machinery, leather goods, and processed food. Viersen passed to Prussia in 1713 and was chartered in 1856.
