Portofino

Portofino pôrˈtōfēˈnō [key], town (1991 pop. 608), Liguria, NW Italy, on the southeast end of the promontory of Portofino. It is a fishing port and tourist center known for its lace industry. Nearby is the monastery of La Cervara and the church of S. Giorgio, which is said to contain relics of St. George brought back from the Holy Land.
