Vimeiro

Vimeiro vēmāˈrō [key], village, Lisboa dist., W central Portugal, in Estremadura. It was the scene of a battle (1808) of the Peninsular War, in which Wellington defeated Junot, thus ending the first French invasion of Portugal.
