Velsen

Velsen vĕlˈsən [key], city (1994 pop. 63,617), North Holland prov., W Netherlands, near the mouth of the North Sea Canal. It includes the port of IJmuiden. Paper is a major manufacture, and agriculture (dairying, cattle, fruit, vegetables, flowers) is important.
