KADING, Charles August, a Representative from Wisconsin; born in Lowell, Dodge County, Wis., January 14, 1874; attended the country schools, Lowell graded school, Horicon High School, and the University of Wisconsin at Madison; was graduated from the law department of Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind., in 1900; was admitted to the bar the same year and commenced practice in Watertown, Wis.; also interested in agricultural pursuits; city attorney of Watertown 1905-1912; district attorney for Dodge County, Wis., 1906-1912; mayor of Watertown 1914-1916; elected as a Republican to the Seventieth, Seventy-first, and Seventy-second Congresses (March 4, 1927-March 3, 1933); unsuccessful candidate for renomination in 1932; resumed the practice of law; died in Watertown, Wis., June 19, 1956; interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
