KILGORE, Daniel, a Representative from Ohio; born at Kings Creek, Va. (now West Virginia), in 1793; received a liberal schooling; moved to Cadiz, Ohio; member of the State senate 1828-1832; elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-third Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Humphrey H. Leavitt; elected as Jacksonian to the Twenty-fourth Congress and reelected as a Democrat to the Twenty-fifth Congress and served from December 1, 1834, until July 4, 1838, when he resigned; died in New York City December 12, 1851.
