CROCHERON, Henry, (brother of Jacob Crocheron), a Representative from New York; born on Staten Island, Richmond County, N.Y., December 26, 1772; attended the common schools; engaged in mercantile pursuits in Northfield; supervisor of Northfield 1808-1814; elected as a Republican to the Fourteenth Congress (March 4, 1815-March 3, 1817); captain of militia in 1818; died in New Springville, Richmond County, N.Y., on November 8, 1819; interment in St. Andrewâs Churchyard, Richmond County, Staten Island, N.Y.
