SEIBERLING, John Frederick, (cousin of Francis Seiberling), a Representative from Ohio; born in Akron, Summit County, Ohio, September 8, 1918; attended the public schools of Akron, and Staunton Military Academy, Virginia; A.B., Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., 1941; LL.B., Columbia Law School, New York, N.Y., 1949; United States Army, 1942-1946; admitted to the New York bar in 1950; lawyer, private practice; associate with New York firm, 1949-1954; volunteer service with New York Legal Aid Society, 1950; corporate attorney, private industry, 1954-1970; member, Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, Akron, Ohio, 1964-1970; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-second and to the seven succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1971-January 3, 1987); was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundredth Congress in 1986; faculty, University of Akron Law School, 1992-1996; died on August 2, 2008, in Akron, Ohio.
