Updated February 21, 2017 | Factmonster Staff
All four events consist of a short program (two minutes and 40 seconds) and a long program (4:30 for men and 4:00 for women). Skaters are ranked on technical merit and artistic impression in a consensus vote by nine judges. Factored placements (FP) are determined by multiplying the final short program rank by 0.5 and then adding that number to the final long program.
